Addiction Haven is an IRS approved 501c3, Tax Exempt Organization, providing education and resources on prevention and recovery to individuals and communities.

100% of your donation will go towards empowering individuals to live their best life and building communities who support them!

Addiction is a complex process as is its solution. Thru the following methods we can create communities that prevent, treat, and support those struggling:

  • Advocate for Public Health Focused Addiction Policy
  • Prevention and Early Intervention Programs for Youth
  • Community Events Promoting Prevention and Recovery
  • Creating Recovery Ready Communities
  • Outreach Work to Those in Active Addiction and Their Families
Addiction Haven is a volunteer led organization that has been supported by private donations and because of people like YOU we were able to accomplish the following:

In 2017:

  • Arizona's first Recovery High School¬†in 20 years¬†officially opened July 2017
  • Angie Geren completed Parent Coaching Training thru The Partnership and Center for Motivation and Change in August 2017 which will be the model of Family Peer Support that will launch in 2018
  • Filmed PSA on Stigmas of Addiction for Chandler Police Department Training
  • Hosted Jonathan Pacheco from Senator McCain's Office to discuss Opioid Epidemic in Arizona and how the Federal Government can help
  • Continued work on developing Peer Support Pilot Program with Dignity Health in which peers and family peers will connect with patients and their families in the Emergency Room of Chandler Regional Hospital to start in 2018
  • Participated in DHS's Goal Council 3 which provided recommendations for Governor Ducey following his issuance of State of Health Emergency in June 2017
  • Completed 14 Presentations to Students (210), Community Members (540), and Professionals (180) on Transforming Youth Recovery, Stages of Addiction, Overdose Prevention and Naloxone, and Preventing Youth Substance Use
  • Organized 6 community events that reached 1000 community members, friends, and families such as our 2nd Annual Addiction and Recovery Advocacy Day and 3rd Annual International Overdose Awareness Candlelight Vigil
  • Participated in 14 Community and State workgroups and started a Trauma Sensitive Recovery Workgroup to expand trauma sensitive and ACE training into Residential, Outpatient, and Sober Living programs
  • Angie Geren was awarded the CRUSH Servant Leadership Community Champion for her work with Addiction Haven

In 2016:

We were able to reach 410 community members, 70 professionals, and 35 youth while presenting on advocacy, Addiction 101, and the Stigmas of Addiction.

2016 Financials Addiction Haven

We organized 5 Community Events to over 350 community members such as our 2nd Annual International Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight Vigil.

We also personally vetted 19 facilities in Arizona for quality of treatment and ethical practices.
